Job Description Al Ain Hospital, a highly specialised acute care and emergency hospital with 412 beds and 30 medical departments and divisions, is one of the two major hospitals in the Al Ain region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi belonging to the health system of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company SEHA. The hospital provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services. It is also the base for medical education, training and research for two teaching hospitals from Europe and the UAE.On the basis of an agreement with SEHA, the leading European health specialists Vienna Medical University and VAMED have been managing Al Ain Hospital since June 2007The Role: Provide management and leadership for the logistics function and ensure services are provided in a timely, effective and efficient manner. Provide coordination between Al Ain Hospital (and its affiliates) customer base and the logistics function. Ensure the logistics function targets its operations to deliver the best value to Al Ain Hospital (and its affiliates). Assist Al Ain Hospital (and its affiliates) to meet its financial targets through delivering a service which delivers savings to the hospital.Ensure the service acts with integrity and probity at all times.Education: At least a Bachelors Degree in Logistics / Business Management / Supply Chain Management and or a relevant discipline.Desirable Education:Postgraduate in Logistics Management or Supply Chain ManagementExperience:  At least 5 years of relevant experience in Healthcare Logistics Management or Project Management with a heavy focus on Clinical Supply Planning and ManagementDesirable Experience Knowledge of PC based computer systems (Oracle) Understanding of financial management fundamentals Record of achievement within a healthcare environment Vacancies : 10 Start Date : ASAP Closing Date : 2010-08-31 (for applications) Applications limited to EU residents only : Yes
